New enviPath Release

Our new version just went live! Head over to https://envipath.org to check it out.

We have been working on it for over a year now. Special thanks to @lorsbach , who did most of the heavy lifting together with @t03i (Tobias) and @MyCreativityOutlet (Liam)!

We’ve taken what we have learned over the past 10 years to develop a new and improved enviPath, rebuilt from scratch. Now enviPath

  • :speedboat: is way faster in predicting, loading, and browsing!

  • :cockroach: is more stable, with fewer crashes and fewer bugs!

  • :scientist::woman_scientist: integrates our research of the last 10 years - and there is even more to come in the next weeks!

  • :bus_stop: has an advanced queuing system, so your predictions do not get lost, and resources are distributed fairly among users!

  • :rocket: scales up! We can run loads of predictions now. We mean it. If you need to predict tens, hundreds, thousands, or even millions of pathways, we can now do that rapidly. If you have a use case, reach out to us to talk about your own fast queue.

  • :mirror_ball: looks much better. The whole system got a much-needed facelift.

And there is much more to come. We’re still tinkering on plenty of features and will release them in the next weeks and months. Keep an eye out for announcements; many exciting ideas are floating around.

If we missed something and you need access to the old system, head over to https://legacy.envipath.org. Just be aware that we will gradually phase it out, so make sure to talk to us to migrate your work.

Tell us what you think of the new system; we’re excited to polish it even further.

will it be possible to get and use this latest version of prediction system as and similar results as before wherein we could add smiles string and download pdf of predicted pathway with bt rules…. kindly guide as I am in process of compiling a paper using your previous system and certain new coumponds added in my screening and unable to duplicate the results, hence kindly guide ……………..

If you are in the middle of writing the paper, I would recommend accessing the previous system and run the new experiments there: https://legacy.envipath.org. Everything should still be there and nothing changed except the URL.

Otherwise, the new system should be able to do everything the old did, if you find something we missed, let us know. However as we re-implemented everything from scratch, using new libraries, we had to go through the rule library. Some rules had to change and we fixed some ambiguities on the way. So the predictions might be slightly different in rare cases. If you notice that, let us know and we will have a look.
